Ben is 30!

Wow! My husband turns 30 today. I can't think of a better way to celebrate than to let him and all of you know how great he is. Feel free to leave your own memories or birthday wishes.

Where should I start? I love Ben for so many reasons.

He sang to me when he proposed.

He isn't afraid to be a kid.

He loves everyone.

He is a college graduate.

He makes me laugh everyday.

Always the life of the party.

He always beats me at Scattergories.

He stays very physically active (which helps me too).

We sing at the top of our lungs in the car.

He can beat almost anyone at ping pong. (I dare you to challenge him).

He taught me to play soccer.

He puts up with me.

He is the "rhyme-off" champion.

He taught me to latin dance.

He allowed me to teach him to body roll (which is still a work in progress).

Great father.

Cried when he proposed, cried when we had Jayben.

Always willing to help others.

He tells me I'm hot everyday.

He knows just about every song on the radio or at least the artist.

He reads the scriptures with me every night.

He waits up for me when I work late.

He can finish my sentences.

He is the movie quote master.

He tells me that he misses me when I am working.

He loves to laugh or to make others laugh.

We have never spent a night apart since being married.

He tells me that he loves my guts everyday.

But mostly I love him because he is a man of integrity that honors his priesthood and he makes me a better person.

I love you Ben. Happy Birthday!

2/17/11 Jayben was put on the naughty chair. And while serving his time he was humming the theme to Jeopardy. It was hilarious. But he still had to finish his time.
10/10/10 Jayben said "mom, we don't know what language Lincoln is going to speak, it might be English or Spanish. I bet he's going to speak Spanish!"
10/3/10 While watching General Conference on Sunday Jayben asked "What do you have to do to become the phrophet?" I explained to him that he needed to be really good and listen. Later that day I asked him if he still wanted to be the prophet and he said he changed his mind and decided he wanted to be a monster truck driver instead.
9/13/09 Jayben "I'm going to go blind in a few days because my eyes are so dry. You will have to spit in my eyes like Jesus did to heal the blind!"
9/13/09 Jayben "Brontasaurus are nice, I love them. I'm sad they are extinct!"
8/27/09 Telling Jayben that we were going to the Temple and he told me "Mom, you can only go if you have a recommend, do you have one?"
8/26/09 Jayben wanted a drink at bedtime I told him I would get him one and he said "But you won't get the EXACT cup I want."
8/11/09 we were playing a rhyming game and the word was walk. I said chalk and Jayben said, "I know like chocolate milk."
8/9/09 Jayben asked "Mom, what's wrong with your belly button?"
7/9/09 while making jam and trying to figure out how many cups are in a pint, Ben touches each of my bum cheeks and tells me I have a pint on each of them.
7/6/09 I had been discussing swimming lessons with Jayben and later he was telling Ben about them. "Dad, Jane teaches kids to swim without life jackets, floaties and swimsuits!"
6/14/09 Ben gave Jayben a drink and told him what flavor it was. Jayben said, "I knew it was Hawaiian punch, my taste BUGS told me!"
6/12/09 Jayben asked us to turn up the radio so he could hear the song and then said, "this song is pumping me up!"
6/1/09 Jayben was on the naughty chair and Ben was telling him that it was too late and he still had to sit on it. Jayben without hesitation starts singing 'It's too late to apologize, it's too late!"
5/30/09 after hitting his friend I asked Jayben why he did it and he said "Because, I told her to enjoy the movie, and she did not enjoy it."
As we are leaving the soccer game Ben asks Jayben "what's daddy got?" He yells "DIArrhea!" Not quite the answer we were looking for but close.
11/19/08 Jayben said "I'm freaking out, I'm freaking out of batteries."
11/19/08 Jayben (Ben is drinking chocolate milk and Jayben was just told he cannot have another cup) "But mom, I am low on sugar, I need some chocolate milk!"
11/17/08 Jayben quoted an entire scene from the movie Cars.
8/20/08 Jayben "look mom, a tiny Mexican!" me "no, that is a mannequin."
7/24/08 Jayben "is this chair for the people who don't have big bums?"
7/17/08 Jayben "here I am rock it like a hurriKING!"
6/15/08 Jayben "this one is ginormous!"
5/13/08 Jayben "I get to go to a farm, maybe I will get to squeeze the cows weinie"
4/15/08 Jayben "mom, I drew you a picture! It's a bum with poop!"
12/9/07 Ben "If you were a season you'd be Hotumn!"
12/5/07 Jayben "I'm amazing mommy!"
