Nine and a half inches gone!

Brittany and I decided it would be fun to donate our hair together. Both of us had done it last year but I knew that my hair wasn't as long this time and I needed the moral support. I researched some good causes that accept hair donations and decided to go with Pantene's Million-inch-chain. It's for women who have breast cancer that are undergoing chemotherapy.
Ben thinks that our hair looks like road-kill. Maybe he's right. I'm posing like a redneck that just cut off a raccoon tail. But I think they will still make great wigs for someone. The funniest thing is that after we cut our hair we realized that our hair color is almost identical. If Brittany's hair weren't so darn thick, we could have gotten our pony tails confused.

Here is a close-up of the new look. I added some blonde to it and some layers. It's so light. I love it. Although, it will take some getting used to.

If I didn't know better I would think you were sisters. Very cute for both of you. I will be getting mine done in February, just in time for spring.

Wow, you're brave! That's awesome though. I've always wished that I could do that, but it's always short now!

You look great. And what a great idea. I think I'll do the same, I'be been wanting or needing to cut mine but there's just one more reason to take the plunge. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Cute hair, Janessa! I'm impressed! Next time I donate mine, maybe I'll send it to the same place....seems like a very worthy cause. I love your blog...you'll have to check ours out!

Wow, what a chop! It's cute! And probably much quicker to blow dry. What a great cause too.

Love it! I can't believe you donated last year and your hair grew that muck since then! I have been growing mine out for a couple of years, and it's barely past my shoulders. I am so jealous! good for you to donate it!

Your haircut is so cute! Seriously, isn't it liberating to cut your hair? I am addicted. Maybe I will let mine grow out so I can donate it too! Thanks for the fun post! You look great!
