Wow. Where to begin. This mothers day was filled with lots of emotions.
On Saturday I had an amazing yet sad experience. While at clinicals I was placed in the ER. We recieved a call that an 83 year old woman had collapsed and was unresponsive. She was rushed to the ER. The nurse was so calm, everbody on the staff new what to do and everyone was so efficient. As the woman came into the ER, I was in charge of documenting everything that was going on (ie. CPR, medications given, shocks etc). Then I had the opportunity to do chest compressions. It was my first experience doing CPR for real. I pushed so hard and realized it had only been a minute and protocol is to do it for two minutes and switch. I could not believe how tired I was. But knowing that this was someones wife, mother, and grandma, I could not give up. After 40 minutes of CPR the doctor made the call. It was the most humbling moment ever.
Sunday was a great day. We woke to the news that we have a new niece. Her name is Londyn. She was 6 lbs 7oz and 19 1/2 inches. She has LOTS of black hair. Jayben was excited to see her at the hospital but then once he saw her and kissed her once he just wanted to play. (Maybe it's a sign that he would be okay with a sibling!!! Or maybe he is just a boy). She is adorable. We also celebrated Kia's 6th birthday. We had a nice dinner at Desi's house, watched the Jazz win in overtime, and the boys played darts.
Later on Sunday we played with our new Wii. (Thanks to Tye's friends who didn't like it and sold it at an excellent price). Harmony and I got to battle on guitar hero (courtesy of Ben's co-worker grounding her kids from it and letting us borrow it for the week)! I can actually finish a song now!
Mother's day was a great day. Thanks Ben for being so wonderful. You are half the reason I am a mother.
Oh and I almost forgot. I won tickets to the day out with Thomas on the radio. Plus a gift certificate for myself.

That would be so scary to do CPR for reals. I would panick. Can't believe Ashley has another little baby! She's cute! You'll have to tell her hi from us. Does she have email? Her name is so cute too! How's Candace? Jayben's little song below is very cute! He's grown up so much!
congrats on the new neice, and have fun at Thomas! It's pretty fun- my kids totally freak out for that!!!
Looks like you guys had a party with the new wii. How fun!
Are you and Jayben free to go to the zoo on Friday with me and Dee? Around 11:00?
I meant to talk to you about your ER experience! Ben told me about it! That is crazy! Oh..and guitar hero was fun too!! (And you should check out Cass' blog if you haven't since May 1st.)
What a busy day. That is way sad about the ER.
You have a new wii? Let's hope Nic and Joel don't catch wind of it or they may come over and never leave.
