Christmas 2008

Christmas this year was a success! Jayben was so excited to open his presents. Of course we let him open ONE present on Christmas Eve and he opened his Cars slippers. Then we made some candy cane cookies and Jayben helped Ben write a letter to Santa. In fact, Jayben had to write all the names on all the presents.
This year he was really catching on to the whole Santa Claus thing. It was so fun. But he noticed that after seeing a few different Santa's they had different beards. Lucky for us that is where the questioning ended (this year)!

Jayben was spoiled rotten! And silly us, we got him some electronic drums. And he thinks he can use the drum sticks to paddle on bums. He got another Thomas train, a soccer ball, soccer uniform, Cars stuff, and clothes (bummer when you are three, but give him 10 years and that's all he will be asking for).

Then it was off to the grandparents. More presents! Where he was spoiled more with a Thomas book, a learning laptop, and speed racer jammies.

The weather on Christmas was not driving friendly so we had to skip the trip to my parents. But we did have a belated Christmas celebration on Sunday December 28. I learned to wrap presents from my dad and this year I showed him how it's really done.
All that work for a gift card to the movies. Woo hoo! We went sledding in my parents front yard, ate some delicious prime rib and enjoyed the day with my family.

How I miss the snow. Sounds like you had a fun christmas. I tell my kids the reason they have so many different Santas is because they are really his helpers, as Santa is to busy in the north pole. Although I don't know how much longer both Savannah and Elijah will believe.

Glad to see I'm not the only one so late on blogging about Christmas. Glad you had a good Christmas. Looks like Santa was good to Jayben. Was Santa good to you and Ben?
