I was off work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and it was raining and even snowed a little. I am so sick of this weather.
Finally Friday the sun peaked from behind the grey clouds and allowed me to head outside to pull some weeds and maybe actually do something with the garden this year. Jayben was eager to help cut some of the weeds and old plants down until he came across his "best friend".
I think he named him "wormy!" He carried it around until he found a potato bug (aka rolly polly) that he named "bugsy". We made him a home in a jar and we added some dirt, grass and a small twig. Jayben loves being outside, especially if you can get dirty. I'm just happy for a little bit of sunshine.

Ya, Phoenix has collected many bugs and worms to add to her jar, but somehow they always end up dead. What Jar you ask? The one I didn't know about until she brought it to me wondering why her animals kept getting killed. No air holes and she hid it outside in the sun so no one would take it. Yummy Baked Worm goodness.

Don't you love boys. We recently had a little ant problem (Gabe loved to play with them). We bought those little ant bait things and told Gabe it was going to get rid of the ants and he said, "Don't kill the ants, they're my friends!"
