Saturday we went to our second world cup qualifier match. The last one was in 2005 and Jayben was just a baby. We were so excited to show our patriotism. Maybe not quite as much as a few other fans who came dressed as Lady Liberty, Uncle Sam, Wonder Woman, etc. Regardless it was a good time. Jona, Gloria, Ash, Jake, Logan, Peggy, Jay, Ben and I painted our faces in support of our team. Jona even spray painted his hair.
We were able to see some of our favorite players in a match that was well worth the money. The U.S. dominated the field, they had many scoring opportunities and finally capitalized on two of them bringing the final score to 2-1 for the U.S. Both goals came from assists by Landon Donovan in the first half. The first assist was to Clint Dempsey and the second to Jozy Altidore. During half-time we walked around the stadium and I became a cell phone camera celebrity. Something about a painted pregnant belly was intriguing to people. As we headed back to our seats we saw Yura Movsisyan. He is (or used to be) Real Salt Lakes number one scorer. He was nice enough to pose for a picture with us. He is expecting a baby in January.
Our local player Kyle Beckerman even got on the field in the 80th minute. The fans were so loud. It was probably the loudest I have ever heard Rio Tinto Stadium. It was an awesome game, even if the officiating was less than fair and the score should have been 3-1. Not to forget the annoying old guy behind us that didn't really know anything about soccer.

I thought you might be at the game so I'm not surprised at the pictures. Jayben can roll his tummy jusy like his mom.
I have noticed that you like painting and showing off your belly. You are one brave prego lady- you do look cute though!
