Not even the golden skunk hair of David Beckham could help the LA Galaxy against RSL in the MLS cup final. After 90+ minutes of regulation play and 30+ minutes of overtime the winner of the 2009 MLS cup came down to penalty kicks! All the players were visibly exhausted. Beckham nailed his shot. LA had the chance to keep themselves in the running for the title but Landon Donovan MISSED his PK. It was the first time in his MLS career that he shanked a PK. Lucky for RSL we had Nick Rimando in goal, with yet another save and a Russel goal RSL brought home the title.

I got into the spirit of the game and made some cookies in honor of some of our favorite players.

What a FUN game that was to watch! Were you feeling sick to your stomach like me during the PK's??? I wasn't sure if I would make it!! Those cookies are RAD! Would love to bite the dread-locked head off Beckerman!
I know this will shock you, but we actually watched most of the game with Jake and Brittany. Trevor had already decided he was going to watch it over football, so Marc and I joined in too. It was exciting to see them win. I like Beckham better with his shirt off, then I don't have to look at his hair.
