It was soooo cold. Caitlin and I were trying to talk ourselves into just staying in her heated car or on the bus. We didn't stretch because we were so cold. We started out the race pretty good. But my dang Nike+ didn't track my mileage. Oh well. At least I had my songs to keep me moving. I only stopped and walked while I drank because drinking and running are not a good combination, especially when it's freezing. Just before mile 6 I used GU. For anyone who has not used it, it's the consistency of thick snot. I took a shot of GU and a shot of water and swallowed it. I had to pretend I was on fear factor and even then I still gagged. It was a tough race. Mostly flat with some slight inclines and declines. I finished in about the same time I did my last half marathon. On the bright side I didn't do worse!

That's so cool! I hate running when it's so cold. I ran 13 miles today...in 2:33! We could be great running buddies! :)
That is awesome Ness!! I ran a 10K yesterday afternoon and I am dead today! A half is quite an accomplishment, and even more so after just giving birth six months ago!
I'm glad you didn't go on about how crappy I did! Oh well maybe next time when we are not running in subzero temperatures and, at times, hurricane force winds, we will do better :) Thanks for the fun run!
You are awesome!! I'm very impressed. We miss you at the soccer games, hope Ben can play again soon!! (and you too, I can babysit)
You totally rock! My hubby and I signed up for a HALF in July... The cold weather seems miserable (as if running for 2.5 hours wasn't miserable enough!)
YAH!!!! YAH!!! YAH!!! That made me so happy to read. GOOD FOR YOU!!! You rock.
Good work:)
