So, sometime in March this whole eye thing started. My eyes were itchy and red. It went away as fast as it came. Then every couple of weeks it will come back, each time it's a little worse. I've been given an antibiotic eye drop, told to take allergy medication, and then to use an allergy eye drop. Most recently I have been told to put hydrocortisone cream on my eyelids. But the doctor told me not to worry, it only causes glaucoma if you use it for a long time! What is it you ask? Well I don't think anyone really knows. It's not pink eye and it doesn't seem to be allergies either. The latest is it might be contact dermatitis. Which is an inflammation of the skin caused by direct contact with an irritating substance. So, it could be my shampoo, hairspray, laundry soap, body wash, or makeup or any number of substances I come in contact with at work. The trouble will be pinpointing what is causing this.
My treatment for now is to start from scratch. New shampoo, no hairspray, new laundry soap, new bath soap, new body wash, and NO MAKE-UP for two weeks. I'm only devastated about the mascara. Because lets face it, I am blonde. I have blonde eyelashes that are barely visible and frankly I look like I've undergone the first treatment of chemo-therapy. No offense to anyone that really has.
Just be ready to look at this face for the next two weeks. I'm sure I'm going to be tired of telling people "no, I'm not sick" by the time this is over. The plus side is that I can get ready a lot quicker and all the eye redness makes my blue eyes stand out a little more!

I miss you! Remember when you burned your eye brows and lashes off at your bbq? Where did you put those fake eyelashes? i bought cheap mascara because I think these baby hormones are eating the pigment out of mine too. i don't know how to wear it so it ends up all over my face...sad!
I ALWAYS get Pink eye when people fart on my pillow....
No more farts.
I think you look really good without the makeup!
It looks like it is time for some out door tanning. Now if the weather would just cooperate. Even if you look a little funny, just remember your Mom and Dad will love you no matter what, and I don't think there is a limit on what we can handle. Dad.
I had that same problem about a year ago. Itchy, puffy, red areas around my eyes. It was diagnosed as seasonal allergies, but when it didn't go away with allergy meds, I did what you said - started looking at soaps, make up, etc. Turns out a concealer I used occasionally was WAY past its expiration date, even though I just bought it. I didn't think to check the date at the store.
Then I felt kind of dumb.
Good luck in figuring it out! Hopefully it's something simple. And you look great w/o makeup. :)
Remember when I had pink eye? That sucked. I feel bad for you.
