10 months and tubes

Lincoln with his cousin Spencer.

Lincoln was snuggling with me and that doesn't happen everyday so I took some pictures to remember it and remember his chubbiness.

He has dimples on his elbows, his cheeks, and his hands. His toenails are so fine they almost don't exist and still have only been cut once or twice since he was born.
He is super flexible. He loves to grab his toes and put them in his mouth. I know it's nasty but he thinks it's funny and I love to see him smiling and laughing.

He got tubes on August 11. After multiple ear infections we decided it was time. We got to the surgical center at 7am. He was so happy and content. Which was great considering he had not eaten anything since 10pm the night before. They took him back and within 20 minutes he was in recovery, SCREAMING! All the other moms in the waiting room were laughing and asking me if that was mine. They are supposed to wait 10 minutes and watch him after but they came to get me instead. He was so upset for about 40 minutes. He was hungry and doesn't really like juice, which is the only thing they would give him. Lincoln was fine once I loaded him in the car and started driving home. He was kind of fussy the rest of the day and pretty sleepy.

Lincoln took 10 steps on August 10th. He is doing so good at walking. I can't wait for him to decide to do it all the time!

What! Lincoln is 6 months younger than Owen, and he still is not walking... What's the trick to get him to take steps!

I went to the ENT but I didn't get tubes. I had nasal endoscopy. I always wanted to know what my nose hairs looked like large on a computer screen. I have swollen tissue in my nose and acid reflux. Drugs is the answer for now.

Elijah had tubes, he was a much happier boy. I can't believe he is 10 months already. Are you sure you want him walking?

Wow! Starting to walk already?!? Such a handsome little guy. It is hard to see them sick and be in pain but I am sure the tubes will help in the long run. You have such a cute family.

Ear infections bite. Laynie's had a dozen, but our insurance required that she have six in six months before they'll pay for tubes. I hope that they work for Lincoln and that he feels better soon!

Those snuggly pics are so sweet. I love how you captured the fine details like his chubby hands. You'll look back at those and cry some day!
