ONE {sweet} day!

Where did the last year go? Seriously the fastest year of my life. Lincoln must feel the same!

One year old stats:

Length: 29 inches (25%)

Weight: 20 lbs (12%) Hello forward facing carseat!

Head circ: 45 cm (15%)

Lincoln has 8 teeth, working on his molars! Yikes
Has green/hazel eyes.
Runs around everywhere and doesn't like to be held. (church is almost pointless)
Loves mashed potatoes ...and cake...(see below)
Has his own language, which I'm sure he can say momma in because he sure doesn't say it in English.
Waves, claps, and gives 5
Will cuddle if he's tired
Gives open mouth kisses (usually with tongue!)

Let's get this party started!

We figured that a soccer theme would be a good first birthday. Jayben helped decorate for the party. He put out every single napkin and plate we had.

I made the cake and the frosting. But Ben did decorate it.

"It's a pillow..it's a pet...It's a pillowPet!"

Lincoln loves soft things, he immediately gave the puppy a love after he unwrapped it.

Thanks to everyone for all the great presents.

Lincoln totally knew that we were singing for him. It was so cute. He had the cutest smile on his face the whole time and clapped for everyone when it was over.

Then it was time for the cake. I didn't get a picture of the candle because stinkin Lincoln tried to grab the flame. 

He wasn't quite sure he was supposed to touch the cake. He looked at Ben for approval. Then we showed him how to put his finger in the frosting and it was all over from there.

I love that he just grabs the cake with both hands and takes a big old bite. It was hilarious.

And there is nothing like a fist-full of cake to complete your night!

And he was done. He did a pretty good job clearing his plate.

And he's all clean. His birthday was a success. The sugar rush was a little bit crazy but he was sure happy!
