rare

Well, Lincoln is starting to feel so much better. How do I know?
Because he dumped all the crackers out on the carpet. Yay!

On Saturday Nov. 27 the day we left the hospital we noticed this rash forming. It kept getting worse and worse. It didn't seem to bother Lincoln any more than anything else he had been through. But we took him to the pediatrician just in case. He referred us to a dermatologist. Part of the rash had to be biopsied.

We found out that he had a rare allergic reaction to the strep that was in the abcess. The dermatologist said he only sees this once every 3 years. It inflamed his blood vessels and the white blood cells carried the infection to the surface. We just have to wait for them all to crust over and heal. It got even worse than these pictures. Luckily it wasn't contagious but we didn't know for over a week, until Dec. 7.

Dec. 2: Lincoln got his stitches out. We saw Dr. Ramirez. He is happy with how it's healing. His incision will keep draining and we are to keep a bandaid on it until it closes.

On a side note. We also had Dr. Ramirez look at Jayben. He has to get his tonsils out. They are so large they are almost touching and most likely obstructing his airway causing him to snore.
