We started early on March 11. The boys were ecstatic about their first flight! Jayben was so excited to watch everything the plane did and proclaimed it all loudly during the flight. Sorry for anyone with any fears. As the flaps on the wings moved out for landing Jayben yelled "our plane is a transformer!" As we were making our descent into Long Beach Jayben kept saying "we're going down!" Oh man. It was hilarious!
Once we got to Long Beach we were all hungry. Despite our out of date GPS we finally made it to Sunrise Cafe. It was delish!
From there we went to the hotel. And then immediately to the beach. Our kids were in heaven! Even though it was freezing.
MARCH 12
We went shopping in Downtown LA. It was lots of fun. We ended up finding the Hollywood sign and Capitol Records for Nick and decided to walk around Hollywood BLVD.
This is where the camera broke and the remainder of the trip will be documented with the cell phone!
"Micheal Jackson" tried to fix our camera but secretly I think he is the one who broke it when we tried to take his picture.
We even ran into "Snap Boogie" from America's got talent. He was doing a street performance. It was impressive. Not sure why I posted the pic of Wonderwoman twice. I guess once for each dollar she charged us to take the pic.
FUNNY STUFF!
So the condo we rented for the remainder of the trip had a bedet? Yup that's right. Did I use it? Well, not intentionally. We had just gotten our stuff set up at the condo and Jayben used the bathroom. He came out of the bathroom and his hair was all wet and he was shaking his hands off. Jayben says to me "mom I do not like that sink one bit!" Ha ha! Love that kid.
March 13
We got up early to head to the happiest place on earth! Although I was super unhappy because we didn't have a working camera. But it all worked out in the end. Just not documented the way I intended. It was a super crowded because it was college Spring break. Ben wouldn't even wait to get our nostalgic picture in front of Disneyland with the flowers.
But we did manage to get all of these great pics.
Yes, we went on Captain E-O. It put Lincoln to sleep. It was great! Well the nap, not so much the show.
I love the look on Jayben's face. He loved it though, don't let his face fool you! Such a brave boy going on all the big rides.
Most of my day was spent with Lincoln since we were restricted to the same type of rides. And most of my day was spent looking like the picture above. "Where is your harness?" "My mother thinks they are cruel." "My mother thinks they are very necessary!!!"
So true!!!
And the kids fell asleep before we were back to the condo. Such a successful day, despite the crowd.
March 14
We just took it easy today! Most of the family went back to Disneyland but we didn't want to. Unfortunatley the weather was not the greatest but the boys picked to do another day at the beach. It was super windy and absolutely freezing. That didn't stop these boys from having a blast.
We collected sea shells and built some awesome sand castles. My boys loved the dirt. It was like heaven for them.
And lucky for us this also wore them out and they slept like champs!
March 15.
We headed home. Lincoln slept the entire flight. Jayben read and played games on the ipod the whole time. They were really good! Totally want to do more family trips.

I immediately thought of Jamie when I saw Wonder Woman.
I am so jealous. One day I will take my children there.
