It's great to be 8!

Jayben wanted to have his birthday party at Nickel Cade. We had a coupon so we obliged! He was able to invite just a few friends and cousins to come. He invited Carter from his school class and Destry from gymnastics. The boys burned through their nickels in no time and we were able to enjoy some cupcakes outside.
I'm learning that boys don't really care about parties so much and I can make them simple and less hassle for me!!!

On his birthday we let him pick where he wanted to eat. He chose Kobe, a Japanese restaurant by our house. He loved the tepanyaki cooking in front of us. And because he recently had learned to use chop sticks at school he attempted to eat with them there! Already better than his dad!
We came home, sang "Happy Birthday" and ate a little bit of cake. It was such a fun day! Love this 8 year old of mine!
