While on the way home from my soccer game last night, my nice NEW car was hit. The young emo punk merged onto highway 89 apparently without checking his blind spot. I was trying to be a polite driver, so when I saw him merging into the right lane on the highway I moved into the left lane and so did another car that he nearly hit. I was going about 55 MPH when I realized he was coming into my lane again. I knew that my only hope to avoid a collision was to swerve into the turning lane, but once again the young emo punk followed me into that lane too and hit my car! Seriously, who travels through 3 lanes of traffic without looking? Traffic stopped and I was able to drive my car to the right side of the road. The other driver that he barely missed turned around and came back to be a witness to the crash. When the young punk got out of his car the guy said, "have you been drinking, boy?" It was kind of funny because the guy was dressed nicely and looked like he had just come from some sort of church or business function. The police were called and while they were on their way I was asking the kid for his insurance information. He said, "sorry, I just didn't see you." And I said,"maybe you should get a haircut so you can see." I tried not to lecture him too much because I didn't want to be that lady. But the police officer arrived and did not hold back. So, after an hour of filling out a police report and waiting for the emo boys daddy to come, I got to drive home, with a stikin' dent covered in white paint. :(

I know I'm not the best artist. But I was pretty happy with my drawing on the police report. (except I forgot to draw the turning lane, but I was a little stressed at the moment).

Dang. What a pain but I'm glad no one was hurt. Hopefully the punk pays for all the damage and gets a haircut.
It must be because you weren't coming home from OUR soccer game.
That really sucks though. If the whole nurse thing doesn't pan out you could look into a career in art.
After teaching punk teenagers for three years I could care less about being "that lady" so I'm that way all the time, like the other day at the park when I told a skateboarder that the playhouse was not a skateboard ramp but for my baby to play in!!
Love the drawing... and love it even more that you told the punk kid that maybe he should cut his hair! That really stinks about the accident!
I swear new cars are jinxed. Thats why we ended up getting a truck 10 years older then our first one that was in multiple accident within the first 2 years of having it. That really sucks.
I feel bad for laughing--but I love when you suggested he get a haircut...ha! And the drawing is awesome. Well done :)
Yup- I farted when I read this, more evidence that I'm an old fart. I would have let that kid have a little more attitude...I learned a lot from my Elders always laying into me...if only I would have listened sooner...You are an excellent artist, why are you wasting your time in Nursing school?
I didnt't know you guys had a blog! I just wanted to say hi! I am sorry about your car! I like that you told him he should get a haircut though!
Are you and Jaybe available for a park day Wed, June 25th around 11am? Janet will be in town so I thought that it was a good excuse to get everyone together and let the kids play :)
Seriously? I would have freaked out. I swear we were not that stupid as teenagers (my parents would disagree). Kids these days. Sheesh!
What a punk!! I'm so nervous because Baylee is learning how to drive but I make her check her blind spot. But seriously he came over 3 lanes and hit you??
ARRRGGG! Nothing is worse then a bad driver. I am glad just your car got hurt!
