You know they say running is good for the soul. It's a time to think and reflect. For me it's only a time to remember to breathe, reflect on how I hate running and then think why on earth I ever made the comment that I would like to run a half marathon.
Wednesday, I went on a run with Caitlin and Tawna. Note to self: don't run outside and up large hills when it's 1000 degrees. Yep thats right, it was 1000 degrees. (Tawna can testify to that). I think we went 4 miles. But I must have walked the last mile. Every time I would try to run up the hill, the costco chicken-bake I ate would creep up my esophagus. We were sweating like fat kids. I kept thinking it's a good thing I'm running with two nurses so when I collapse from heat stroke they will know what to do.
I am still in training for this wonderful ½ marathon. However, I am choosing not to run at 5:30pm. And my poor Flintstone feet are not tolerating the new shoes.
