Here is a recap of our holiday week. Thursday July 3rd was the first day in 3 weeks that I didn't have work, school or clinicals. So, I did nothing all day and then we watched some fireworks in Clearfield. The 4th I was lucky enough to get to work at 5am (gag!). I did get home in time for our rockin' barbeque. We played some killer volleyball and went swimming. Jayben played in the pool most of the afternoon, and (un)fortunately he fell asleep and missed all the fireworks that night. So, Ben and I played guitar hero. The 5th was our niece, Jaxyn's birthday party.
Once again, more swimming and more volleyball. Sunday was the blessing of our niece Londyn and Jayben got to bring the treat bucket to nursery, which we forgot about until late Saturday night. Sunday night we did fireworks with Bens cousins in South Weber. His uncle Kris lets each of the kids pick a firework and he helps them light it. Most of the kids lost interest except for Jayben. He followed him around most of the night and got to light a lot of fireworks. A pyro in the making. Jayben enjoyed the "pompers", you may know them as snaps or pops. He was very animated whenever a new firework would go off but then continued to plug his ears. It was pretty classic. Busy weekend. I'm sure glad we have our independence.

I can't believe that Jayben was helping light fireworks and liked it. We went to Evanston WY on the 4th and there was 7 year olds lighting big-in-the-air (illegal here) fireworks. Apparently they start young out there so maybe you should think about moving there so at age 7 he can be a pro.
I am glad you had a good fourth of July. I enjoyed the swimming as well. I bet Jayben loved following uncle kris around lighting fireworks.
Sounds like you all had a pretty perfect weekend!
