The Cheryl Stoker 5K turned out to be quite a success. There were so many people that turned out for the event. Ben was nice enough to stay by me during the race. Which made it fun for his first race to run it together. But I have not convinced him that running is fun. Even with all the motivation and reward at the end. Thanks to Tawna for running with her camera (and posting pictures on her blog that I stole).
I improved my 5k time by over 2 minutes but I think that I could do better. I think that is why running is so addictive. Darn that competitive nature. Sorry to all my girls that I normally run with for leaving you in the dust. But thanks for letting me feel good about myself for being the fastest nurse (on our floor, dang Alicia).
Cheryl is doing really good, even with all the rehab and surgeries that she needs. Thanks to everyone who supported her in this difficult time.
