Welcome to the real hospital.Here is just a small taste of what I do as a nurse.
Okay, maybe this is not a normal day. It was kind of slow and it was Tawna's birthday so we had to celebrate. I brought some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. Which for some reason got really soft in the ziploc bag. So, since Tawna refuses to eat soft cookies she put it in a specimen cup and walked around asking anyone if they thought it was enough for a stool sample. Oh, and she accidently bumped the tongue depressor onto her lips.
I thought it was a fabulous joke. Others did too, once they stopped dry-heaving long enough to realize it was a cookie.
We also developed the BFF (Best friends forever) club. This was because in a recent staff meeting our manager asked us if we had a friend at work because in a survey we all took we all said no. But now we have proof of our best friendship on the surgical floor.
And then Jenna got to work. She is so funny. But those shoes are serious business. And "they are comfortable". So don't mock.

What hospital do you work at? My sister is a Resp. Therapist. She works at the big new Murray hospital and Utah Valley. Maybe ya'll run into each other someday...BTW She says nurses are WAY cooler than doctors.

HeHeHe... love it. So what time is the 5K and where? I'd love to do it! I told Kyle that I wanted to start getting into the whole running scene.
Okay, although I know that indeed it is NOT a stool sample, it still makes me gag to no end! I think maybe cause I know what REALLY goes into those handy little specimen cups! You guys have way too much fun on that floor, maybe one day soon I'll float there :)
My old friend Lyndsie Buttars is in a picture with you! I haven't seen that girl for about a year. Let her know that I said HI! By-the-way, that is a very funny joke. I have had pumpkin choco chip cookies that are under cooked and they do resemble that...well you know!
