With the new addition coming, I have been watching A LOT of Discovery Health Channel. The other day I was watching something about having babies. I didn't think much of it even with Jayben in the room. I forgot how much kids absorb even when you think they are not even listening. So, this commercial comes on promoting breastfeeding. Jayben was immediately intrigued by the commercial and began asking questions.
Jayben: "Are we going to get that milk for our baby?"
Me: "Yes, we will try!"
Jayben: "Where do we get that milk?"
I paused because did I really want to explain that to a 4 year old. Just then toward the end of the 30 second commercial Jayben is shown. He looks at me, looks at my chest and asks "from those?"
Me: "Yes, that's where that good milk comes from. But we don't talk about it, ok."
Jayben: "Ok, mom."
Later that night we were eating dinner and I had made fettuccini alfredo. The sauce was rather thick and it had a very strong flavor. I was telling Ben that I should have added more milk to the sauce. Jayben was very excited and bursts out "ya, mom you can from your private parts!"
I was trying so hard not to laugh. Meanwhile, Ben being unaware of the earlier conversation was again telling Jayben that we don't talk about people's private parts. I had to admit that one was my bad.
CAUTION: Here is the commercial. You may want to keep curious kids away from this one.

Thats hilarious. Its hard to keep such things private from a little boy when your in the midst of it. The worst part is when your 3 year old wants to nurse all of the stuffed animals then insists you feed them as well.
Thats so funny. I remember Phoenix was obsessed with boobs and breast milk after she saw me feeding Maddox.
That makes me laugh. That must have been the conversation I walked by on Yesterday at work. How funny.
That is so cute!!! I was laughing so hard... man little kids say the BEST stuff
Ha ha ha I just laughed for like 4 minutes! Kids are hilarious :-)
The other day my new nephew Cordon was eating (still breastfeeding). Rylee, who is 1, asked "What CoCo do?" I said he was eating. She walked over, pulled off the blanket from Tawny's chest and started poking around asking "Coco eating?" with the MOST confused look on her face :-) Ha ha
you would have loved the conversation I had with Joshua today when he watching the video we took when he was born. It began I came out of your butt?
Thats so funny, poor Jayben, wait til the baby comes and he pulls up his shirt to feed his own baby(toy). Then tells you he didnt see his dad put the baby in your tummy (that was skylar and thank heavens she didnt witness that)
That's pretty classic Janessa. It's amazing at how perceptive kids can be.
Lol.. I love that story!!
Jayben is the FUNNIEST kid I've ever known :D. I LOVE this story! :) Hurray and Congratulations on Baby #2! He's going to be darling! Hope youre feeling ok now! :D
