Goodbye old friend!

After a few months of talking about selling the dog, Ben decided it was time. It was fun to have a dog but we are so busy with soccer and all of our other extra curricular activities that we did not spend any time with him, so we had to do what was best. We put him on KSL and heard nothing. Then after two weeks we got 5 phone calls in 24 hours. It was crazy.
Last night we sold our little dog, Rocket. Jayben kept telling us that he still loves Rocket and he didn't want to sell him. It was so sad and cute. After the new family left with Rocket, Jayben laid his little head on my shoulder and nearly cried. It was the saddest face I had ever seen.
We will miss our "pups" and his kisses!

How sad. I know how you feel about the dog issue. We love Chloe but sometimes I think she is neglected, well not right now living in my parents basement but in our own house she was alone a lot.

That would be really hard to do!!

I remember when I was young and we had to get rid of our animals each time we moved. I have always been a big cryer and those times are no exception, even to this day I remember how sad I was and how many hours I cryed and how many tears I shed. Maybe that is why these days I cry during chick flicks. Hang in there Jayben, you can forgive but you may never forget.

Sad day...Sorry to hear that! I have to admit though, I hate animals in the house so I can't blame you :-)

That is halarious that Jayben wants to cut open my belly to see the baby. I am sure glue would work...right??? ;)

Oh man, that's so sad. My brother got a puppy for his fam for Christmas and it died two months later. Kids get so attached to dogs. I hope Jayben has recovered!

this is the very reason why I won't get a puppy.. because I know I will just end up giving it away..

my theory is better to NOT have at all then only for a little while...

I didn't know you guys got rid of your dog! I'm sorry to hear that. I always think it's sad when someone needs to get rid of a pet. But like you said, you had to do what was best for him. I hope that Jayben is doing better now.
