Well, after getting his 6th (treated) ear infection in a year, we finally decided to visit with a specialist. And Jayben was a prime candidate for tubes. He did really well. He was so excited to go on a ride in the wagon he went back with the anesthesiologist and laughed the whole way. The surgery took maybe 15 minutes. Jayben was very brave and has been spoiled ever since.
He even got a stuffed horse from the surgical center. He thought that the doctor was going to cut his ears off, insert a tube in between his ears and then glue his ears back on. I'm glad they didn't do that. It sounds painful.

Been there, done that, Elijah was only 23 months old when that happened. He ended up getting his adenoids? taken out too. So he had the IV. It was so much better once that happened. They fell out about 6 months later, but we haven't had any more problems.
No matter when or if your kid has to have surgery its still nerve racking. I'm glad he did ok.
He is so brave! Good Job Jayben! Hopefully the ear infections go away now! Poor little guy!
Phoenix had tubes as well. I love that she doesn't get ear infections anymore. She really had one every month so its been nice to go an entire year without any. Who did the surgery??
What a brave boy! We are glad everything went well! I am glad that Jayben had fun in the wagon! That is so cute!
It is so fun to hear what kids think happen. Jayben is funny. I am glad they didn't have to glue his ears back on. I hope all is well.
How come we never took photos when you had surgery? i don't think you got to ride in a wagon either. So now for the family history, who else has had tubes?
He looks so cute in the wagon!! I am glad he did so good with it!
Way to go tuff guy!
How exciting... I'm glad everything went well. I want to ride in the wagon :-)
The wagon idea is a great one, way to keep his mind off things. What a brave boy!
He looks so cute in the wagon. You will love that he has tubes. Cade and Cal had them and it saved me many trips to the dr. That is really funny what he thought was going to happen to his ears.
so glad they didn't cut his ears off! phew.
we're battling double ear infections here too. ugh!
