Today was kind of funny, he climbed onto the raft and it floated to the deep end. He was so proud of himself, until one of his cousins told him he was in the deep and then he got scared. I tried to tell him that he was on a raft and wearing a life jacket so he was fine but reasoning with a scared four year old is like getting your dad to turn off Star Trek.
Kia to the rescue!!! She jumped in the pool, swam to the raft and pulled him to the shallow end. No more raft for Jayben. And we convinced him to take the life jacket off and attempt to swim. He did pretty good. He just needs to grow a little before I will feel more comfortable with that one.

every personality is different, but it's been my experience that the earlier you get them under water and holding their breath, the better it is. But you're a nurse and I am not... and my boys have been close to drowning several times, so do whatever works for you :)
Yeah for swimming!
I like the part about Star Trek. It is so true.
Janessa- You always make me laugh when I read your posts! Glad you are doing well. We're so happy for you and Ben (and the big brother to be). Take care and keep in touch.
Sorry we missed you! We went to the pool on Friday...the weather wasn't too great though. Hopefully all this rain will go away and we can all spend more time there. :)
It was so good to see you and meeting your little guy! It was a lot of fun. We need to do something where we can talk more to catch up! I can't believe how fast time flies and how much we have grown and changed! It's crazy!!
