Crafty-Ness

After making a decision on how we wanted to decorate the baby's room I began searching the internet and realized I could probably make the decor rather than paying ridiculous amounts. So, one day I got a crazy idea and went to the craft store. Since then, I have been back to the craft store way too many times. I keep expanding my crafting skills and I've only made one craft for the new baby. I will post a picture of that when the room is complete. Poor Ben never knows what new idea I'm going to have. He is always a little scared when I tell him I have been to the craft store. I have never considered myself crafty or creative but I'm slowly catching on.

I didn't make the board. My only addition was the stars with names. I painted, sanded, stained and added the names myself.

The blocks are way fun. Jayben thinks they are puzzles for him.

you must have gotten the craftiness gene, I know i didn't. we have a similar family home evening chart, but we all got to decorate our own star, so none of them look alike.

Way to go. I think something about the whole "nesting" phase in pregnancy makes everyone feel crafty :) Cute block!

I love your crafts. I have been making some too. In fact I went to 4 different craft stores in one day to buy hair clips and ribbon. I wanted to post jessie wearing my creations. You'll have to have a craft day with me soon. i told DOn I should really take up plain old reading again since I'm not so great with the crafts, but he says I'm a funner crafter then reader. hahahha

The blocks are super easy. Just buy 2 inch blocks from any craft store. I bought foam ones but I think that wood ones would work a little better.
pick out scrapbook paper you want to use for each of the seasons. Then use Mod Podge to glue the paper onto the block. I use a lot and on both sides of the paper. Then add the letters with the mod podge. Let it dry! That's it.

The title was crafy too. Next time you are over you should go shopping in my craft room. I'm sure I have projects that you could finish.
